I’m finally doing it!

I’ve spent the last few weeks busying myself away writing the course I’ve been talking about for ages.

Months. Maybe even (embarrassingly) years!

For a master procrastinator it has certainly been a journey, but I am so excited that I have eventually knuckled down and actually started creating something that I am already super proud of.

For 18 years I worked for one of the worlds largest pharmaceutical companies, in sales, then training and finally 10 years as a respected leader in the management team. I even reached the dizzying heights (in my opinion!) of National Sales Manager. I was about to step into the shoes as Head of Learning and Development when tragedy struck and I lost my husband, Terry.

My life fell apart. I never wanted the things that weren’t actually important to become important again. No offence to the work I was doing, but when it’s life and death stuff everything pales into insignificance.

I left.

No fuss. No leaving speeches. After 18 years of enthusiastic and loyal employment, I just walked away.

So, roll on 10 tumultuous years of pulling myself up by my coattails, creating a new life in the world, becoming a blogger, YouTuber and travel coach. I finally picked up the reigns of merging the life I have now, with the one I used to have, to create a course that I know I will be immensely proud to deliver.

Because it’s what I used to do.

I spent years training bright-eyed new recruits who knew nothing about the workings of the human body when they arrived, to go out and sell to doctors.

I used to write courses in my sleep. I would analyse them constantly, forever looking at ways they could be improved. What weren’t our trainees understanding? How could we help them to get there?

I then moved on to work on a 1:1 basis, coaching my team on their individual sales calls, key account plans, personal development goals.

And now, having put it off for so long, it feels really good to be back! To be doing what I thrived in for all those years, marrying it with the passion that has driven me to find myself again.

Travel.

We will start by examining what is driving your underlying desire to travel. Then focus on uncovering and overcoming any limiting beliefs, fears or challenges and go on to decide on where you want to go and what you want to do. I’ll give you all the tools, resources and confidence you need to take the first step on your journey. And of course, I’ll be there to hold your hand when you do (metaphorically speaking).

This isn’t about solo travel. This isn’t about expensive, month-long adventures (unless of course, these turn out to be what you desire, then it is all about that!). This is mostly about instilling the confidence you need to take that first step on your own personal travel journey. Wherever and whatever that may look like. However big or small, long or short, near or far.

I’ve learned the hard way that life is short. It’s time to grab it by the balls and go on an adventure!
